A rare and stunning Reed & Barton silver-plated pineapple motif cocktail/bar spoon. Truly a stunning piece that measures a tad over 12" in length (12 1/4"). The detailing of the pineapple is simply incredible. Heavy in weight (this spoon is solid) with a gorgeous twisted handle and a squared handle/body above and below the twisted section. Hallmarked "Reed & Barton" on the back. Reed & Barton also made several other bar spoons in particular collection including a rooster and a leprechaun. Truly a magical antique bar spoon.

Please note: we were fortunate enough to have two of these vintage cocktail spoons and this is our last one as the other one recently sold.

Maker: Reed & Barton Hallmarks: "Reed & Barton" is embossed on the back of the spoon

A bit about this manufacturer: Established in 1824 Reed & Barton is one of the oldest silversmiths in the United States. Founded in Taunton, Massachusetts, Reed & Barton grew from a small pewter shop into one of America's premier silversmiths, famous for high-quality sterling silver and silverplate. Known for their silver and silver-plated mastery throughout each era, the Reed & Barton Silversmiths division continued to produce a wide range of upper end items today including flatware, serveware, and barware. After creating silver and silver-plated pieces for decades, Reed & Barton officially came to an end in 2015. Their most popular, sought-after barware pieces include their figural silver-plated jiggers and their twisted handle bar spoons that have figural motifs (including a rooster, Leprechaun, Santa Clause, and a pineapple). Reed & Barton pieces always bare the hallmark "Reed & Barton" or "R&B".

Measurements: 12 1/4" in length

Condition: Good vintage condition overall but with noticeable signs of age:

1) There's mild surface wear (from past handling, use, etc)
2) The spoon bed's tip/edge shows wear; the previous owner clearly used this spoon for mixing and muddling (we've included several zoomed in photos of the edge of the spoon bed, see photos #6 and #7)

The silver-plating is vibrant overall. The spoon is perfectly straight. In short, this spoon is in good vintage condition but does show signs of age/general wear. It displays beautifully.

**On shipping: We take our packaging very seriously and carefully wrap all pieces to ensure safe delivery. If purchasing multiple pieces, we'll combine shipping to a single box (or as few boxes as possible) and will automatically reimburse you for all shipping overages paid.
