A stunning and rare Reed & Barton silver-plated cocktail/mixing spoon with a gorgeous rooster motif. Truly a magical piece. This bar spoon measures 10 1/2" in length and the detailing of the rooster motif is simply incredible, almost a 3-D like texture, along with the barley twist handle. Heavy in weight, this bar spoon is solid and has a magical feel to it. Reed & Barton also made several other bar spoons including a Santa motif as well as a Leprechaun.

A bit about the maker: Established in 1824 Reed & Barton Corporation is one of the oldest silversmiths in the United States. Known for their silver and silver-plated mastery throughout each era, the Reed & Barton Silversmiths division continues to produce a wide range of upper end items today including flatware, serveware, and barware. Their most popular an sought-after barware pieces include their figural silver-plated jiggers and their twisted handle bar spoons that have figural motifs (including a rooster, Leprechaun, Santa Clause, and a pineapple). Reed & Barton pieces always bare the hallmark "Reed & Barton" or "R&B".

Hallmarks: "Reed & Barton" is embossed in tiny letters on the back of the spoon's handle

Measurements: Approx. 10 1/2" in length

Condition: Very, very good vintage condition. The stem is perfect straight. The silver-plating is completely in tact and vibrant overall. There's very mild age and general surface wear (very minor) and a small amount of patina (mostly on the rooster finial and a few small areas on the twisted stem area) but overall this vintage bar spoon is in very good vintage condition and displays beautifully

**On shipping: We take our packaging very seriously and carefully wrap all pieces to ensure safe delivery. If purchasing multiple pieces, we'll combine shipping to a single box (or as few boxes as possible) and will automatically reimburse you for all shipping overages paid.
