A stunning sterling silver cocktail spoon, 1930s. This lovely spoon features an Arts & Crafts design, long twisted stem, and subtle hammered texture. The top finial curves slightly. The spoon bed is round and larger (ideal for mixing/stirring) and has an Arts & Crafts design (a round dot sitting on top of two cut-out pieces that resemble leaves). Truly a stunning bar spoon.
Measurements: 12 1/4" in length (and this spoon weighs 42 grams)
Hallmarks: "Sterling" can be found in micro tiny lettering on the stem (see photo) along with an "EL" (the maker)
Condition: Good vintage condition overall with mild signs of age:
1) There's mild tarnish and mild age that comes purely from time.
2) There's minor what we refer to as mild "surface wear" from past handling, etc.
3) Please note: this piece has a bit of a rustic feel to it as it was forged by hand. It has an intentional hammered finish to it and that can be seen on the top of the stem as well as the spoon's bed
4) There's minor wear/a small scrape to the spoon's bed
In short, this mixing spoon is in good condition with mild age. It displays beautifully.
