A stunning set of 6 sterling silver cocktail picks by vintage Danish maker Meka, 1950s. These lovely picks feature a heavily enameled "floral" finial (3 daisies, 3 roses) and pointed tips. The box features silk and velvet and a hard exterior and a brass clasp. Truly a breath-taking Art Deco set that has a magical feel to it.
A bit about this vintage manufacturer: Meka Reklamegaver's company operated in Holte, north of Copenhagen, Denmark, from 1951 to 1989. It was known for making jewelry with enamel designs and other enamelware items, such as spoons, bowls, salt and pepper shakers, and other fine silver pieces.
Condition: Good vintage condition overall. The picks are all straight. There's tarnish on the sterling portion (we have not polished this set). The box shows minor age to the exterior as well as the interior (the silk has yellowed a bit which happens to fabric over the course of decades) and there's a tiny stain/spot on the velvet portion. The clasp works perfectly. In short, this set of picks is in good vintage condition overall with mild age and tarnish as well as wear to a few areas of the exterior of the box.
Hallmarks: Each pick has "Meka Sterling Denmark" on the back and the box's interior has "It's Danish Sterling Silver Hand Enameled"
Measurements: Each pick measures approx 3" in length
**On shipping: We take our packaging very seriously and carefully wrap all pieces to ensure safe delivery. If purchasing multiple pieces, we'll combine shipping to a single box (or as few boxes as possible) and will automatically reimburse you for all shipping overages paid.
****Important to note pre-purchase: Buyers, please examine all photos carefully as we cannot accept returns due to the fragile nature (the possibility of breakage or damage when being shipped back) of our vintage/antique pieces. Our items are true vintage pieces that might have manufacturers flaws, flaws from age, or imperfections in general from being vintage. We try to explain the condition/description in an accurate and thorough manner but we ask that you please examine all photos carefully and ask all questions before purchasing an item as we are unable to accept returns due to the risk of breakage/damage. Cheers!.
