A lovely sterling silver figural jigger by Lundt, 1940s. This figural piece mimics a bucket and has the words "Fire Water" etched on the front. This was Lundt's cheeky way of addressing one's favorite spirits. It has an etched line at the top of the "bucket" as well as a handle. Truly a magical figural jigger.
A bit about this vintage manufacturer: Established in 1902 Newburyport, Massachusetts, Lunt Silversmiths was an American manufacturer of fine sterling and silver-plated flatware, and giftware. In 1935, the name was changed to Lunt Silversmiths. Known for their craftsmanship in flatware and housewares, they created many now-sought after pieces before coming to an end in the 2000s.
Measurements: Approx 2" tall x a tad over 2 1/4" in diameter
Hallmarks: "Lundt Sterling" can be found in tiny lettering on the bottom of the jigger
Condition: Very good shape with minor age including: there's some mild tarnish, there's mild surface wear from past handling, the interior bottom shows mild tarnish and mild age, the bottom exterior shows mild surface wear and a very shallow ding (so shallow it wouldn't show up in our photos). In short, this vintage jigger is in good vintage condition with mild age. Truly a neat figural piece.
