A stunning set of six (6) antique Sterling Silver Julep swizzle stirrer straw spoons, 1940s. These spoons are simply lovely with a "scalloped" spoon base, twisted handle, and ball tips. These vintage spoons serve as a "straw" as the handle is hollow and cover all your cocktail needs: a stirring spoon, a straw, accompanying a Julep drink. Truly a lovely set that has an Art Deco feel to them.
Hallmarks: "Sterling" and either an "M" or "Michele" can be found on the back of each spoon. The letters are micro tiny and you will need an 10x loop to see the lettering.
Condition: Good condition overall but with noticeable signs of age. There's a good amount of tarnish to these spoons, which is part of their magic (we have not polished them). They may or may not polish up completely to a bright silver as tarnish that's been in places for decades can be stubborn. One spoon bed shows "age" and wear to the very tip (see photo x). In short, these spoon are in good vintage condition overall but do show very noticeable signs of age. Cheers.!
