Swoon alert! A lovely set of 8 Fred Press "Eclipse" Atomic Starburst lowball glasses. Such a magical pattern. One side has a stunning gold starburst with gold speckles and the other side is a vibrant salmon Pink color with a gold "eclipse" design on it. The epitome Atomic style glassware.

Hallmarks: None - these glasses do not bare the Fred Press signature

A quick summary on this glassware maker: Mid-Century designer Fred Press was known for creating unique and stunning cocktail glassware (sold at places like New York’s Fifth Avenue and other upscale Mid Century retailers). Real 22k gold was used in the paint. Best known for his Gold Starburst series, his patterns are unmistakable including this gold leaf geometric pattern.

Condition: Good condition overall with signs of age and gold loss and manufacturing occurrences. Here's a full summary:

1) Perfect clarity (no cloudiness)
2) Two glasses are slightly lighter or less pink than the others (it's very subtle, please see photos)
3) Three of the glasses have a "line" through the Salmon Pink enamel (this occurred during manufacturing before the enamel was fully "set", common with Mid Century glassware) - see photos #10 and #11
4) A few of the glasses have minor gold loss on the front gold medallion
5) There's minor gold loss on the back Starburst pattern on all glasses (some more than others)

In short, these glasses are in good vintage condition but do show minor age, gold loss, and a couple of manufacturing occurrences. Cheers!

Measurements: Approx. 3 1/4" tall x just shy of 3" in diameter
