A lovely vintage brass cocktail shaker, circa 1930s. This shaker features 3 pieces: the shaker, the lid, and the cap. This piece has a solid feel to it and is well-crafted. The base is "footed". The cap "screws" onto the spout. And the handle is an Art Deco designed black metal. Truly a stunning vintage mixer that displays beautifully.
Hallmarks: None
Condition: Good vintage condition overall for a brass shaker that's over 90 years old but with noticeable age. We're pretty Type A about summarizing the exact condition of our vintage pieces so here's a complete summary:
1) Overall the brass is vibrant but there's general "age" that occurs to brass over the course of decades
2) There's what we refer to as general "surface wear" that can include tiny scrapes, scratches, etc (from past handling, how it might have been stored, etc).
3) There a pinhead sized shallow ding on the cap (very tiny)
4) The interior of the shaker shows age/wear (see photo #8)
We're a bit over the top when it comes to describing every detail our vintage pieces, but we like to be thorough and emphasize this is a true vintage piece. In short, this shaker is in Good vintage condition with noticeable signs of age. It displays beautifully.
**Please Also Note: we typically do not test our shakers for leakage. We offer a variety of vintage shakers (both usable as well as collectible/display only). We are happy to put our shaker through a thorough leakage test (which involves filling it with liquid and rigorously shaking it) -- please message us if you'd like us to test this particular shaker. Cheers!
Measurements: Approx. 11 1/2" tall
