A lovely set of 6 Mid Century Continental Airlines glasses. These low ball glasses feature a smokey gray color and vibrant gold Continental Airlines logo. They "dimpled" textured bottoms. They are solid and well-crafted.
Continental Airlines, a major U.S. airline, was founded in 1934 as Varney Speed Lines and evolved through various mergers and acquisitions, ultimately merging with United Airlines in 2010. The airline was known for its slogan "Work Hard, Fly Right" slogan. Continental Airlines ceased operations in 2012 after merging with United Airlines. The integration of the two airlines was completed on March 3, 2012. The new airline took the United Airlines name but adopted Continental's globe logo and livery

Measurements: 3 1/4" tall x 2 3/4" in diameter
Condition: Very good vintage condition. If these glasses were used, it wasn't much. They are nearly pristine. One glass has minor gold loss (see photo #6) and we're not certain if it was from use or from not getting embossed as heavily when they were applying the gold logo/pattern. Truly a stunning set.
