A lovely set of Mid-Century silver-plated decanter tags/labels in their original velvet-lined box (NOS, new old stock) by Godinger. Hallmarks: "Godinger" can be found on the back of each tag and there's also "Tarnish Resistent" and "Japan" just below the Godinger hallmark.
***PLEASE NOTE on the "JAPAN" hallmark: many vintage items that were made in the 1950s are hallmarked "Japan" or "Made in Japan" or "Occupied Japan". After World War II, the Allied forces occupied Japan for seven years. During the occupation period, most Japanese goods imported to the U.S. carried this mark (but not all). During the Occupation period, from 1945 to 1952, U.S. customs required goods imported from Japan stamped with "Occupied Japan." Also, many items that were made in the 1960s and early 1970s will also bare the hallmarks "Japan" or "Made in Japan". We explain this as a previous buyer was worried a "Japan" hallmark meant the item wasn't vintage/made during the time period indicated. Cheers!
Dimensions: each tag is approx 2" long and 2 3/4" tall; from the top of the chain to the bottom of each tag it's approx 4 1/2"
Condition: The tags are pristine, still in their original box. Two are still in their original plastic wrapper. These tags appear to have never been used and are likely NOS (new old stock). They are a shiny, vibrant silver (any gold you see is from the camera's flash). The box is also in good vintage condition. There's one tiny tear on one of the corners. Beyond that, the box is in very good shape. Cheers!
