A lovely small pewter flask made in Sheffield, England, circa 1940s. This flask is smaller in size as it only holds 3 ounces (created to fit easily into a small area such as a purse or a boot or a pocket). This flask features a smooth pewter exterior with a floral and leaf etching on the front and a screw on cap. The cap still has its original cork inside of it. We had a tough time capturing photos without picking up reflections of other items ie ceiling beams, so we included photos in two different lighting settings. Surprisingly heavy in weight for its small size. Truly a lovely flask.
Condition: Good vintage condition overall but with signs of age. We like to be thorough, so here's a full Conditions Summary:
1) There's what we refer to as general surface wear that includes fine scrapes, scratches, etc.
2) There's mild tarnish.
3) There's general age that comes purely from time.
4) The cork inside the cap is in good shape and intact.
5) There are two shallow dings on the bottom very edges of the flask (see photo) and also a small ding on the back upper section of the flask
In short, this flask is in good vintage condition but does show signs of age/general wear. Truly a neat, small flask. The floral etching is simply lovely.
