A lovely silver-plated nesting cocktail shaker set by Gorham. This set consists of a smaller sized shaker and 4 cups that nest or fit perfectly inside the shaker, when not in use. It features a sleek Art Deco design. This 5-piece set is solid, all pieces are thicker and heavier in weight. Truly a breath-taking set.

A little bit about this maker: Jabez Gorham started Gorham silver in 1831 in a shop on Steeple Street in Providence, Rhode Island. Born to a family of eight, he was apprenticed to New England silver patriarch Nehemiah Dodge at a very early age. Dodge is known as one of the founders of the silver and jewelry crafts industry in 18th century New England. After his seven-year apprenticeship with Dodge, Jabez formed his own business and quickly established a name for himself. For more than 150 years Gorham Silver has been known as one of the preeminent silversmith companies in the world and well-known for their vintage barware items including this Art Deco style shaker set.

Measurements: The shaker measures approx 5 1/2" tall; the cups measure approx. 2 1/2" tall x 1 1/2" in diameter

Maker: Gorham

Hallmarks: "Gorham EP YC 43" is embossed in tiny letters on the bottom of the shaker, the cups are all embossed with "Gorham EP YC 42".

Condition: Great vintage condition. This set doesn't appear to have been used. The silver-plating is vibrant overall. There's very mild tarnish in a few places and what we refer to as minor surface wear (from past handling, how it might have been stored, etc). The cups show minor surface wear (likely from being nested together in the past and stored that way). In short, this cocktail nesting set is in very good vintage condition and displays beautifully! Cheers!

**Please Note: we typically do not test our shakers for leakage. We offer a variety of vintage shakers (both usable as well as collectible/display only). We are happy to put our shaker through a thorough leakage test (which involves filling it with liquid and rigorously shaking it) -- please message us if you'd like us to test this particular shaker. Cheers!

**On shipping: We take our packaging very seriously and carefully wrap all pieces to ensure safe delivery.

Our items are true vintage pieces that might have manufacturers flaws, flaws from age, or imperfections in general from being vintage. We try to explain the condition/description in an accurate and thorough manner but we ask that you please examine all photos carefully and ask all questions before purchasing an item as we are unable to accept returns due to the risk of breakage/damage.
