A lovely set of silver-plated Julep cups, circa 1950s, by Kent Silversmith. These vintage Julep cups are simply lovely and feature the classic "tapered" design a trio of etched lines along the top (the etched lines and sleek shape is very Art Deco in style). Heavier in weight, these cups are solid and well-crafted. Truly a lovely set.
Measurements: Each cup is just shy of 4" tall x 3" in diameter
Hallmarks: "Kent Silversmith" can be found on the bottom of each cup (some embossed lighter than others) along with a gold and black foil "Made in India" sticker (India was a common manufacturer on many silver-plated and brass items during the Mid Century).
Condition: Good vintage condition overall. These cups appear to be NOS (new old stock) and are still in their cotton tarnish wrapping and plastic wrapping. Two cups are pristine. Please note: one cup has chosen to tarnish and "age" more than the other see (see photos) and the brass is peaking through the silver-plating in several areas (these cups are silver-plated over brass) and the fourth cup shows minor age to the interior. In short, these cups are in good vintage condition with mild signs of age and one cup more so than the other three cups. Truly a lovely set.
