A bit about this maker: The Wilcox Silver Plate Co. (1867-c. 1980) was formed in Meriden, Connecticut. From 1865 to 1867, it was known as the Wilcox Brittania Co. In 1898, the company was acquired by the International Silver Company, headquartered in Meriden. After the acquisition, the Wilcox Silver Plate Co. brand continued until 1980.

Measurements:  Each cup measures just shy of 4 1/4" tall and the diameter is a tad of 3 1/4" -- please note: Webster Wilcox made several variations of this vintage Julep cup, so if trying to matching existing cups, please make certain this is the style and size you're looking for.

Hallmarks: Each cup has the "Webster Wilcox" etched on the bottom along with "IS" (International Silver Co.) and one cup has its original foil sticker / The Julep spoons are hallmarked are not hallmarked.

Condition: Good vintage condition overall with mild age. We like to be thorough when it comes to our vintage pieces/sets, so here's a full summary:

1) There's general what we refer to as "surface wear" (that can include micro fine scratches, noticeable scrapes, etc) from past handling or how the cups were stored.
2) There's minor surface wear on the very bottom rims.
3) There's tarnish on these cups (we have not polished them as some buyers prefer the patina)

In short, these antique Julep cups and spoons are in good vintage condition overall with mild signs of age and tarnish. These cups are lovely and display beautifully and have a magical feel to them.

**On shipping: We take our packaging very seriously and carefully wrap all pieces to ensure safe delivery. Please note: we're not making a penny. These cups are solid/very heavy in weight and will be packed well to ensure safe arrival, which means a larger, heavier box!
