A little bit about this manufacturer: Founded in 1853, the "Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik" (WMF), translated as "Württemberg Metal Factory," was founded by Daniel Straub and the Schweizer brothers in Geislingen, Germany, initially named "Metallwarenfabrik Straub & Schweizer". Through mergers, including with Ritter & Co in 1880, the company became known as WMF, with the "Württemberg" part referencing the region where it was established. Renowned for its Art Nouveau designs, WMF created some stunning barware pieces including bar spoons, jiggers, cocktail shakers, and these silver-plated cups.
Measurements: A tad over 4" tall x 3" in diameter
Hallmarks: "WMF" can be found in micro tiny letters on the bottom of each cup
Condition: Good vintage condition with signs of age. These cups are in good condition overall but do show signs of use. Here's a full summary:
1) All cups show general "age" (that comes purely from time, past handling, how they were stored, etc) including micro fine scrapes and scratches
2) There's tarnish (some cups more than others), we have not polished these cups
3) There's
4) The interiors are clean and in good shape overall but there's mild age, age spots, and tarnish to a few of them
5) There are a few micro shallow dings on some of the bottom exterior edges and one cup has a ding right along the very bottom
In short, these cups are in good vintage condition overall but do show signs of age, minor wear, and minor tarnish. Truly a lovely, large set that displays beautifully. Cheers.
