A lovely figural pewter "One-Finger" jigger by James Dixon & Sons, 1940s. Not unlike the Napier one finger jigger, the one finger indicates 1 ounce, Extremely heavy in weight/solid. Truly a magical bar measure.
Condition: Good vintage condition overall with signs of age/wear. Here's a full summary:
1) This piece has what we refer to as general surface wear (ie minor scrapes, scuffs, etc) from past handling, how it might have been stored, etc.
2) The pewter shows age that pewter tends to get over the years (similar to patina on a silver-plated piece) that resembles a speckled patina in a few areas
3) The interior is perfectly clean and in good shape
In short, this vintage piece is in good vintage condition with signs of age and wear. It displays beautifully. Cheers!
Hallmarks: The bottom of this jigger is embossed with "James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield, Made in England, Cornish Pewter" along with "L 377/1" to identify the ounce size.
Measurements: Approx. 2 3/4" tall (including the figural hand/finger).
