A lovely vintage pewter one-finger and two-fingers jigger set, made by James Dixon & Sons, late 1940s. The one-finger and tw- fingers indicates the 1 ounce and 2 ounces capacity. These jiggers are heavier in weight and have a solid feel to them. Truly a magical novelty set.
Condition: Good vintage condition overall with mild age and general surface wear. We like to be thorough, so here's a full summary:
1) There's what we refer to as general surface wear to the pewter on both jiggers including the bottoms of the jiggers that includes micro fine scratches, scrapes, etc. (i.e. from past handling, etc)
2) The two-finger jigger has a tiny ding right on the bottom edge (see photo #7 where our finger is pointing)
3) There's mild tarnish on the hand/fingers (very mild) -- we have not polished these jiggers.
Overall, the pewter is vibrant. In short, this set is in good vintage condition but does show mild signs of age/general surface wear and a tiny ding on the bottom of the two-finger jigger. This set displays beautifully. Cheers.
Hallmarks: "James Dixon & Sons Sheffield Made in England" and "L.377 / 2" and "L.377 / 1" (the 1 and 2 represent the ounces capacity) along with their company hallmark (a Trumpet)
Measurements: 2 3/4" tall and 3 1/4" tall
**On shipping: We take our packaging very seriously and carefully wrap all pieces well to ensure safe delivery. If you buy multiple pieces/sets, we will combine shipping if possible (glassware sets typically ship in their own box to ensure safe arrival) and will reimburse you for any shipping overages.
****Important to note pre-purchase: Buyers, please examine all photos carefully as we cannot accept returns due to the fragile nature (the possibility of breakage or damage when being shipped back) of our vintage/antique pieces. Our items are true vintage pieces that might have manufacturers flaws, flaws from age, or imperfections in general from being vintage. We try to explain the condition/description in an accurate and thorough manner but we ask that you please examine all photos carefully and ask all questions before purchasing an item as we are unable to accept returns due to the risk of breakage/damage. Cheers!
>>> IMPORTANT UNPACKING INSTRUCTIONS/PROOF OF ORDER ACCURACY & SHIPMENT: on orders with MULTIPLE pieces please note that if your order has more than one item/piece in it (so multiple pieces such as a set of jiggers, cocktail picks, tags, Julep cups, combined shipping orders, etc.) please take care to thoroughly empty the box and unpack ALL pieces which may be hidden in tissue paper, bubble wrap, peanuts, etc. We cannot be responsible if you accidentally throw one of your items away! We WILL be able to confirm with 100% certainty that we shipped ALL pieces in your order as we photograph/document ALL PIECES in the box it ships in along with the buyer’s order receipt, shipping label, and tracking number (in case we need to verify that all pieces were shipped once the package has been received). Thank you for shopping with us and cheers!
