A lovely and scarce Art Deco style Penguin shaker. Mid Century. It was tough to capture photos without picking up other items in the room/reflections. This piece is a true silver tone. We've seen this shaker listed elsewhere referencing the 1930s but our research indicates this shaker dates to the late 1940s / early 1950s. It's extremely heavy in weight and 12" tall. Please note: this is not vintage Restoration Hardware as it's a completely different style: the handle placement, the feet, the section where the lid meets the body of the shaker) and it also has a "ribbed" pattern along the lid and cap. The "fins" stick out slightly from the body of the shaker. The "cap" which screws/unscrews from the penguin's beak also features a ribbed detailing. Truly a magical vintage mixer.

Measurements: Approximately 12" tall

Hallmarks / Era: None / Mid Century

Condition: Good vintage condition overall with mild signs of age. We like to be thorough, so here's a full summary:

1) This piece shows general age including what we refer to as tiny "age spots" that are dark in color as well as general "surface wear" that can include micro fine scrapes, scratches, etc
2) There's a shallow "ding" that's less of a ding and more of a shallow "indentation" on the front lower section of the shaker (see photo #7)
3) The nickel-plating is vibrant overall but does show mild age in a few places
4) The interior is clean overall but does have mild tarnish and minor age to the very bottom interior
5) Please note: there's a tiny "hole" smaller than a pinhead in the back of the head of the lid. This is by design and we believe for aeration purposes. Many Mid Century glass shakers lids (i.e. Culver) also have this same aeration hole.

In short, this scarce piece is in good vintage condition overall but does show signs of age and tarnish. Truly a stunning shaker that displays beautifully. Cheers!

**Please Note: we typically do not test our shakers for leakage. We offer a variety of vintage shakers (both usable as well as collectible/display only). We are happy to put our shaker through a thorough leakage test (which involves filling it with liquid and rigorously shaking it) -- please message us if you'd like us to test this particular shaker. Cheers!

**On shipping: We take our packaging very seriously and carefully wrap all pieces to ensure safe delivery. Please note: this shaker is extremely heavy in weight and will be packed well, which means a larger, heavier box.

****Important to note pre-purchase: Buyers, please examine all photos carefully as we cannot accept returns due to the fragile nature (the possibility of breakage when being shipped back) of our vintage/antique pieces. Our items are true vintage pieces that might have manufacturers flaws, flaws from age, or imperfections in general from being vintage. We try to explain the condition/description in an accurate and thorough manner but we ask that you please examine all photos carefully and ask all questions before purchasing an item as we are unable to accept returns due to the risk of breakage..
