A lovely set of six (6) vintage heavy silver-plated Julep cups by Sheridan Silversmiths Ltd. These vintage Julep cups are simply lovely. They appear to be NOS (new old stock). They are solid/heavy in weight and well-crafted. They feature the traditional "footed" base and tapered design. Truly a stunning set. Measurements: each cup is 4" tall x 3 1/4" in diameter
Maker: Sheridan Silversmiths, Mid Century
Hallmarks: Each cup has "Sheridan Taunton Silversmiths Ltd" and "EP Brass" (aka silver-plated over brass) on the bottom along their Lion hallmark symbol.
Condition: Very good vintage condition. They don't appear to have been used, although there's some general age that comes purely from time. We like to be thorough when it comes to our silver-plated pieces, so here's a full summary:
1) There's mild tarnish.
2) Some of the cups have a swirled surface wear pattern on the bottom exteriors (either a manufacturing occurrence or how they might have been cleaned on polished in the past, see photo #5 for reference).
3) One cup still has its original store sticker on the bottom.
The silver-plating is extremely vibrant overall. The interiors are pristine. Truly a lovely set that displays beautifully.
