A lovely vintage Julep cup by International Silver Company, still in its original box and original wrapping, circa 1950s. This cup is solid/extremely heavy in weight. A bit about International Silver Co.: The International Silver Company was formed in 1898 by various independent New England silversmiths that joined themselves together to form a company that became the world's largest manufacturer of silverware. They were known for their high end pieces from tableware to Julep cups. They stopped manufacturing in 1983.
Measurements: The cup measures 4 1/4" tall x 3 1/4" in diameter
Hallmarks: The Julep cup has a round white sticker that says "International Silver Company, Made in the USA, Inspected by 13" and the box includes "Mint Julep Cup Silverplate 0525/1" on the top along with their company name and "Mint Julep Cup" on the front, along with their company name.
Condition: Great condition. This cup is NOS (new old stock) and is still in its original cotton and plastic wrapping and box. Here's a full summary:
1) There's some tarnish and general "age" to the silver-plating that comes purely from time
2) There's a tiny rough spot/pock mark on the very top rim that you can feel when you run your finger over it
3) There's also a tiny scuff mark on the rim (pinhead size)
4) There's a tiny "age spot" to the silver-plating on the very bottom exterior (see photo)
The box itself is also in excellent shape. In short, this cup appears to be NOS but does show mild signs of age, two marks on the rim, and a tiny age spot on the bottom exterior.
