A lovely set of silver-plated Julep cups by Towle Silversmiths, 1970s. These vintage Julep cups are downright lovely andfeature the classic "tapered" design with a thicker footed base and beading detailing along the base and top. Heavier in weight, these cups are solid and well-crafted. Truly a lovely set.
Measurements: each cup is just shy of 4 1/2" tall x 3 1/2" in diameter
Maker: Towle Silversmiths
Hallmarks: Each cup has "Towle Silversmiths Since 1690" on the bottom
Condition: Very, very good vintage condition. There's some minor "age" (that comes purely from time), such as very minor tarnish in a few places, some micro tiny what we call "tarnish dots" to the very bottom of one cup (they are micro small). one cup has slightly more tarnish than the other 3 cups that will polish away if the buyer chooses to polish these cups. One cup has some minor age/tarnish to bottom exterior (it is very, very subtle and hardly noticeable but we like to be thorough). A few of the bottoms have "lines" (that occurred during manufacturing when Towle was applying their name/hallmark). Overall, these vintage cups are in very, very good condition. The silver-plating is incredibly vibrant and in excellent shape.
