A lovely vintage 11" Tiffany & Co Sterling handled bar/cocktail spoon (actually just shy of 12", this spoon measures 11 3/4" in length). The handle is sterling silver and the spoon/spoon stem is stainless steel. The Sterling handle has a lovely Art Deco-esque shape to it. This vintage Tiffany & Co. piece has a magical feel to it. Truly a lovely mixing spoon.

A bit about Tiffany & Co: For more than 150 years, Tiffany & Co. has represented the pinnacle of American artistry and luxury. On September 18, 1837, Charles Lewis Tiffany and John B. Young decided to open an emporium of luxury goods on Broadway St. in New York City. Tiffany made a splash in the fancy goods world by establishing a nonnegotiable selling price for all items sold in his store. 1837 was a good year because Tiffany & Co. achieved considerable growth. During the first year, Tiffany introduced its first “Tiffany Blue Box.” All merchandise purchased from Tiffany’s was wrapped in a luxurious blue box. A distinctive shade of aqua blue was chosen as the company’s hallmark color. To this day, Tiffany & Co. boxes and catalogues are made in this color. In 1845, Tiffany published the first mail-order catalogue in the U.S. Jumping ahead to the 1950s and 1960s, Tiffany made various sterling silver barware pieces including bar spoons and Julep stirrer spoons and cocktail picks and continues to make barware pieces today.

Maker: Tiffany & Co.

Hallmarks: In micro small letters (we used a 10x loop) this spoon includes the following hallmarks;

- "Tiffany & Co" can be found on the front bottom part of the sterling handle (please note the "Tif" isn't as heavily embossed as the other letters)
- "Maker" can be found on the left side of the front bottom part of the sterling handle
- "Sterling" can be found on the back bottom part of the sterling handle
- "Stainless Germany" can be found in tiny letters on the back of the spoon's stem

Measurements: 11 3/4" in length

Condition: Good vintage condition overall but with NOTICEABLE signs of age. We like to be very thorough when it comes to our vintage pieces, so here's a full summary:

1) The Sterling handle is in good shape overall but does show mild surface wear
2) There are two small "age spots" right where the handle meets the spoon's stem (see photo)
3) The stainless spoon/stem is in very good condition overall but does have one tiny scratch on the back upper section

In short, this vintage spoon is in good vintage condition overall but does show mild signs of age/wear. Truly a lovey mixing spoon.
