A magical set of four (4) silver-plated Julep cups by Towle Silversmiths, 1970s. These vintage Julep cups are simply lovely and feature the classic "tapered" design with a thicker footed base and beading detailing along the base and top. Heavier in weight, these cups are solid and well-crafted. Truly a lovely set.
Measurements: each cup is just shy of 4 1/2" tall x 3 1/4" in diameter
Maker: Towle Silversmiths
Hallmarks: Each cup has "Towle" on the bottom
Condition: Good vintage condition with quite a bit of tarnish. The tarnish/patina on these cups is simply magical. The cups themselves are in very good shape, the silver-plating is in tact and the interiors are clean. One cup's bottom rim is ever so slightly not perfectly round (see photo #7), it's very subtle and does not affect the cups when on a surface. In short, beyond tarnish and patina, these cups are in very good shape. Truly a stunning set that has a magical feel to them.
If you'd prefer cups with no tarnish or patina, please see our other vintage Julep cups listings. Cheers!
