A stunning and rare set of six (6) silver-plated Yellow and Black Bakelite picks in their original box, 1940s. This set is nothing short of magical. The vibrant Yellow Bakelite finials are a stunning burnished yellow tone and the silver-plated picks feature pointed tips. What makes this set so magical is the Black Bakelite on the stems. The stems features 4 stretches of solid Black Bakelite (with the Silver-Plated stem in between each). They come in their original box that has a brass clasp. These picks are surprisingly heavy in weight and have a solid feel to them. The hard-sided box has a beige interior with a white silk upper. Truly a breath-taking set of picks.
Hallmarks: Each pick has a series of English (England) hallmarks on the lower section (see photo)
Condition: Very good vintage condition. There's tarnish on the silver-plated portions of the stems. The Bakelite (on the stems as well as the finials) is in very good shape. The box is in good shape overall with mild age/wear. Truly a lovely set that has a magical feel to it.
